Successfully installed the full set of custom one off coil springs on the van over the weekend. These custom springs were designed to retain the factory towing and hauling capacities yet at a lower right height. The front springs are at a staraded ride height but 20% stiffer than factory. While the rear springs are 20% stiffer but are 2'' shorter than the cargo longer springs.
Now one can buy a set of "springs" from Eibach or Cobra suspension.. but those springs will not offer the same dampening as our springs. Again our springs are 20% stiffer all around. This made the van's suspension very tight. So instead of relying on the shocks/struts for dampening, We've place all of the dampening on the springs and use the shocks/struts less. The best way to describe these springs is that they are like a coilover but without the center mounted shocks and all the added teteous adjustments afterward. These are preset stiffness and ride height.
These springs have been tested on the 2019-2023 Transit Connect and if one buys and installed these spring is it suggested that they replace the rear upper seats, poly isolators and lower perch seats. If you order these springs direct from the manufacture, They will set you back $1,000 USD and would arrive powder coated in a gun metal grey finish. However if you order these springs from me, they will cost your $1,600 USD (full set) and arrive in a custom powder coated color of your choice. (Red, Yellow, Blue, Orange, Purple or Green)
Wait time from the manufacture is 4-6 weeks. Wait time for springs if ordered through me is 6-10 weeks as the manufacture would have to make these, then drop ship to our powder coaters then shipped to you. overseas shipping would be extra plus would need to include VAT if one lives overseas.
Front springs
Front springs powder coated signal red
Rear springs installed
Installed ride height. Stock or standard front ride height, lowered rear ride height. (19''x8.5 ET40 w/ 245/40/r19 tires)
Again, if you install these springs on your 2019-2023 Transit Connect you will need to replace the rear upper seats, poly/rubber isolators and lower rear seat. Installing the front springs, you'll need to replace the upper strut tower mounts and poly isolators. It is also suggested that you install a set of the Bilstein B6 front struts and use the FoMoCo rear shocks with these springs.
IMPORTANT: These springs have not been tested on Gen 1 or Gen 2 (non-facelift) Transit Connects.
