please help me silence that door chime when the driver door's open. i like to chill with the key turned on but the engine's off.. or is this wrong?
Let me know if you know where to find that door sensor. tnx!

i'm pretty sure you have many options to bypass but some require you to modify wirings so i don't quite recommend that. you can try forscan software and then disable the door ajar chime from the bcm. otherwise you'll need to make do with the latch trick.

It's a feature that reminds you that your door is open, it's there with purpose. The chilling with the engine turned off but the key on will probably drain your battery especially if you're using electronics.
 
Nah I dont think theres a way to silence that permanently tho. Living with it for decades now lol.

Totally agree,there's nothing wrong with just relaxing. The door sensor is typically in the latch inside the door, not on the frame. If you want to stop the chime, you can unplug it there, but just be careful because it might also turn off the dome light or something else

Really? I doubt it's able to be turned off, honestly. This is the first time I heard someone say that.
