I'm in kansas now to visit my cousin, she just gave birth to a cute babyboy.

her husband has a 2021 transit. He tried to start it, but zip, nada, zilch, no dash lights, and the remote won't even unlock the doors.

I helped to check the battery, and it's totally charged up.

I thought it was a blown fuse. But then, if he tried again later, it just fires right up, no problem.

anyone know what else should be checked?

It ccould be a bad ignition switch, relay, or even some wiring messing with it, I'd double-check those fuses and relays, and maybe look into the ignition system

Could be loose ground or a failing relay, intermittent issues like that can be hard to trace and could also be something like bad ignition switch or something deeper in the BCM.

Yeah, I'm with you, chasing intermittent stuff like that's a headache. Have you noticed if it acts up more when it's damp or after hitting bumps? Could help narrow it down.

Hmnmmm... it maybe a bad connection at the battery terminals or main fuse block. There could be a corrosion or something you need to address ASAP. Good luck man.

You're right, corroded battery terminals or connections in the fuse block can lead to sporadic issues. Usually, cleaning those connections takes care of most problems.
