We recently just got out hands on a 148 Mid Roof AWD Crew Van after initially placing an order back in march. With no updates on our original order and hearing mixed timelines, we started watching the market and unexpectedly found the perfect match nearby. Though it was listed $5.5K over MSRP, we negotiated and bought it the same day. The new van differs slightly in color and features, but we're actually happier with what we got. We're now slowly building it out as a daily driver and weekend camper for us and our furred buddies, starting with insulation, power setup and seating. Thrilled to share our experience or answer questions if anyone's doing a similar build.

It sounds like a great van, but $5.5K over MSRP is a lot! Did the dealer offer any extras or warranty coverage? I am also wondering how you're handling insulation without impacting airflow or moisture control

What made you decide to go ahead with the purchase despite the $5.5K markup, was it the timing, the features, or just the right gut feeling?

Sometimes when the right van pops up, you just have to jump on it. If you feel you scored a great base for your build, even with the markup, then that must be the right one for you. But IDK I would never spend that much HAHAHA.

We use something like Thinsulate or wool since they insulate well but still let the van breathe, which helps with moisture.
