so ford did a recall of my 2024 ford transit last year and it did just happen that i only got 1400 miles on my trail that i couldn't experience ANY of the indicators yet that they mentioned there... still they took it from me and said they just added more of the lubricant in the rear axle... i NEVER experienced any problem since they recalled and tried fixing it but i haven't been updated if there's already been a solid fix to it, because back then remedy wasn't available for permanent. so any of you got an update yet and how did your transit differ in performance after?

ford's initial recall fix was just adding more lubricant to prevent premature wear but that was only temporary they were supposed to come up with a permanent solution but last i checked there hasn't been a new fix yet if your transit hasn't had any issues since then you're probably fine for now but i'd keep an eye on any official service bulletins from ford dealerships sometimes they update the recall fix quietly and you won't get notified unless you ask also if you start hearing any unusual noises from the rear axle or feel any drivetrain issues take it in right away

Mine got the same treatment actually, I didn't have any issues before the recall, and honestly, nothing feels different after they added the lubricant, quietly doing its job like always. Haven't heard about a permanent fix either, feels like we're all just… waiting.

Interesting to hear about your experience with that initial lubricant fix. Down here, a lot of Transit owners are in the same boat, got the 'temporary' fix and haven't heard much about a permanent solution either.
