Anyone else dealing with rear hinges rust on their Transit? Just found some corrosion on mine and it's just a few years old. Will Ford do something about this or not really? Should this be happening on the rear hinges in the first place?

Hey, Ford doing anything about it really depends on the terms of your warranty, but I understand how it's concerning to see something rusting already!

I think rust is beyond the warranty especially if it's a few years old since that really depends on care and climate? But you might snag a discount from them if anything.

I highly doubt it, its going to be battle.

Yes, I have observed this on a few Transits, exposed metal and moisture traps cause rear hinge rust to appear early. Ford will probably refer to it as cosmetic unless it is extremely severe because their corrossion warranty typically only covers perforation and not surface rust. To slow it down, I would apply a protective coat and a rust converter

I think it's common over time. Although I haven't still experienced it with mine. Do you have an unresolved water or moisture issue right there causing all this? That's a possibility.
