Transmission flush complications

My 20' Transit AWD has been great for work, but trans flush quotes are wild. $1,800+ from every shop I've asked! Dealers blame the transfer case setup for the high cost. It's sitting at 90k mi now, and I'm debating whether it's even necessary or if I should just leave it alone.

@old.man.tales a transmission flush at 90k miles can help maintain performance, but the cost seems costly. Have you checked if a drain and fill service is an option? It might save you some cash while still keeping things in good shape.
It's indeed a costly cost! Already tried a drain and fill service and it definitely saved me some cash. The flush still seems pricey but I'm wondering if it's worth doing for extra peace of mind.

Money indeed doesn't grow on trees, nor does peace of mind. If a flush keeps my Transit running smoothly for the long haul, maybe it's worth biting the bullet now instead of dealing with troubles later. 🤔
