Transmission flush complications

My 20' Transit AWD has been great for work, but trans flush quotes are wild. $1,800+ from every shop I've asked! Dealers blame the transfer case setup for the high cost. It's sitting at 90k mi now, and I'm debating whether it's even necessary or if I should just leave it alone.

It's indeed a costly cost! Already tried a drain and fill service and it definitely saved me some cash. The flush still seems pricey but I'm wondering if it's worth doing for extra peace of mind.

@old.man.tales money doesn't grow on trees, right? If a flush gives you that extra confidence in your transmission it might be worth splurging this time around!

Money indeed doesn't grow on trees, nor does peace of mind. If a flush keeps my Transit running smoothly for the long haul, maybe it's worth biting the bullet now instead of dealing with troubles later.
